沖縄出身の写真作家マツコと山口出身の映像作家西村知巳によるユニット。日本各地の都市を巡り、そこを磁場として作品を制作する。2006年以降定期的に福岡を訪れ撮影してきた映像と写真を中心に構成される今回の展示では、福岡の街やそこに住む人々と作家の関わりそのものが作品化される。

Karate-Central is a unit project of photographer, Matsuko, and film maker, Tomomi Nishimura. Two artists create work with close relationship with specific site, which they consider as a magnetic field within which several different factors constantly re/creates several fluctuating electric field that eventually become elements of their artwork.
